Just in Time Software

At the Orange County Venture Capital Network
forum yesterday at the UCI University club, there
was a guy who splained his new business. They
have put together the hardware, software, graphics,
printing such that a person can walk into a software store,
evaluate the software they want, order it, and by
the time they are through paying for it, the store
has downloaded the software, wrote it to CD, printed
out the manuals and necessary material, and boxed
it up. Voila! Just in time Software! Not quite
as good as downloading it off the WWW, but one
step in between.

I wonder what other industries you could do this for,
point of sale assembly.
