For those of you who don't know about the California
proposition system, anyone with enough legitimate voter
signatures can put a proposition on the ballot. This
election there are a baker's dozen. Prop 6 makes
criminal the slaughter or selling of horses for
human consumption. It's particularly aimed at the
silly French who think it's a delicacy. For those
of you who don't know, Pope Gregory the III banned
the human consumption of horsemeat in 732 in order
to shore up and advance the military standing of
followers of the church.

Anyone ever tried horsemeat? I hear it tastes like Buffalo.
