A U.S. Marine in Okinawa fell to his death when a party prank went
wrong, a Marine spokeswoman said Thursday. Military investigators are
probing the accidental death of 22-year-old Lance Cpl. Christopher
Epley, native of Brandenburg, Ky., who was dropped from a third-story
barracks building by other Marines who were holding him out the
window by his feet. Epley and eight other Marines were at
pre-Christmas party on Dec. 21 at Camp Schwab when the men began
holding each other out of the window. When it was Epley's turn, the
Marines holding him by the feet accidentally let go, said a Marine
