In all seriousness, I sent them a request for the N64 client. The
only problem is that I can't figure out how to get it hooked up to the
network. It bugs me to no end that I have a 96Mhz R4300i processor
sitting there idle (Well semi Idle after I got ExtremeG and SF Rush
for Christmas). Speaking of old bits, I always thought that the N64
would make the perfect, expandable WebTV platform. Nintendo and
Netscape actually did go into negotiations at one point in '95 but was
said to have fallen through because of a 'personality conflict' between
Andreesen and Nintendo Ltd Japan CEO Hiroshi Yamauchi. Netscape
has pretty much written off the home consumer market and focussed on the
enterprise. The enterprise is where the money is, but webtops are still
good front-line, end-user advertising and not a good thing to
concede any market to Microsoft without getting in a few flying
punchkicks in first.
