Wow, I heard this as part of a rumor last week. (At about the time of
Robert Harley's Digital 'n Intel post) I didn't FoRK it because I had no
proof, and it sounds kinda outlandish. I guess this means that I should
tell the other half of the rumor now :-)
Microsoft will purchase Digital's non-processor businesses.
The processor side will all go to Intel.
Just a rumor after all....
