Someone help me sort out my conspiracy theory riddled brain,
wasn't Booth acting as part of a group trying to rub out several
Federal high-ups?

Booths' assasination of Lincoln is somewhat romantized as the
South's vengance for 'crushing' their 'genteel' way of life.

Yangkung puts the event in an interesting light.

Just think, if Booth had been reading about assasination politics
on alt.cypherpunks, he could had pinned the rap on a bunch
of disgruntled millionares in La Honda.
