Bush did the right thing when he refused to ask for any recount. For
him to remain 'presidential', he could only ask for recount for all counties
or no counties. If there is anything to blame, you should blame Gore for
being so stupid. If Gore really believe all the votes should be accurately
counted, why didn't he ask for recounts in all counties? Of course, now
that the votes have been certified, Gore ask for all counties recount, why
didn't he do that in the first place?
The fact is that with such narrow result, Gore should think of it as an
act of god and move on.
