Perhaps because a Swedish company made a browser announcement
yesterday as well?
As part of the partnership - the first between the two companies -
Ericsson will provide its Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) stack t=

Microsoft and will adopt Microsoft=AE Mobile Explorer for feature
phones, giving operators, developers and consumers more choice and
functionality in developing, delivering and accessing wireless
information and services.

Having "more choice" and "Microsoft xx Explorer" in the same sentence
doesn't parse. Ericsson were also quick to point out that they will
not infest their phones with operating systems from MS:
The cooperation does not include joint development or licensing of
operating systems.
