Re: Seinfeld's last episode

I'm not a real doofus, but I play one at a national laboratory. (BAISLEY@fndcd.fnal.gov)

I had my electronic monk watch it for me, 'cause I was busy listening to music
(nothing new -- King of America, Elvis Costello), cleaning up from dinner,
answering the phone (the Art Institute called, wishing we'd reup, and they
apologized profusely right away for calling during Seinfeld). The monk hasn't
passed any judgment yet on the relative merits (no surprise there; it didn't
tell me if it like Ellen's coming out party either). But the Trib thought the
episode sucked, too. They even feared that the 'a year isn't so long' line
presaged a future return or some other gimmick.

Frank Sinatra, RIP, found the whole thing overwhelming. Driving to work this
morning, WXRT was playing a little audio montage they'd worked up on Tuesday.
Sound bites from Seinfeld over Sinatra's "My Way". Spooky.

Cheers,
