The Clinton administration, after a two-year study, has decided not to
call for new taxes or regulations on business conducted over the
Internet, The Washington Post reported in Monday editions. In a report
to be released Tuesday, the administration will endorse letting the
private sector largely determine how it will operate in cyberspace,
the newspaper said. In the final draft of the report, the U.S.
government argues for a non-regulatory, market-oriented approach in
order not to hamper development of business on the Internet. For full
