Can't pass up a straight line like that!

It's me.

Yesterday I signed a contract with Apple to take over the Rhapsody =
PM position for two months, starting on Monday. The normal PM is =
on sabbatical, and they figured it'd be better to throw some raw =
untried brainpower at it rather than shuffling people around to =
cover the hole. While this could lead to a full-time position, I =
actually think doing the odd consulting gig is more fun - and =
healthier in the long-term than living the unique circumstance which =
is Apple. This way I can go whole hog, w/o worrying about burnout.

You heard it first on FoRK. Although Adam leaked the news to 'Tech =
and the groupies are already starting to beg for favors.

So, here's a deal for you, Tim: I'll pull whatever strings I can to =
get some sort of Rhapsody demo for your Apache thing. I have no =
idea what power I have, if any, but I'll give it my best shot.

In exchange, you become my "User Agent." I point all the groupies =
to you, as the august and revered President of NeXT Users LA. You =
take responsibility for answering the email, sorting priorities, and =
summarizing what's important. Then you get an hour or so of my =
incredible valuable time to fill me in on the pulse of the user =
community -what they want, what they need, what I should be telling =
them.

Fair enough?

P.S. What do the rest of you FoRKers think about this?=
