PS.
It was brought to my attention by Cobraboy that the "Free DSS!" post
looked like an ad by me. It wasn't, I just thought it was a good deal that
you guys might be interested in. Myself or my company (Creative Systems)
have no affiliation with anything DSS related. I've been on FoRK for a few
months but don't post much. I apologize for any improper Forkness...JB

InterNIC Cracks Down On Parent Company

(05/16/97; 5:00 p.m. EDT)

By Barbara Darrow, Computer Reseller NewsHERNDON, Va. -- One thing's for

InterNIC, the corporate entity responsible for maintaining Internet domain
addresses, pulled authorization for its parent company, Science
Applications International Corp. (SAIC), for failure to pay its bills.
One VAR trying to access the SAIC site on May 14 said he was unable to do
so. Then, using rs.internic.net/cgi-bin/whois and running saic.com, he got
the following message: Domain Name:SAIC.COM; Domain Status: On Hold.
