Speaking of cool things to do with a cell phone:

http://www.foretec.com/python/workshops/1998-11/proceedings/papers/stajano/stajano.html

He implements a "short message service" in python, with a flexible
back-end that permits such things as telling the a/v equipment in the
lab to record a certain show for him, at a certain time, all from his
cell phone.

John,
wondering why there's nothing cool to hook into here at work...

P.S. For those of you who know perl, Tcl and python, would you take a
couple of minutes and send me your impressions of each (along with a
mention of which one is your favorite, and why)? Don't CC the list. I
know the first two, and am learning the latter, and would be interested
in your observations.

Margaret, don't open mail from somebody named Melissa... -- someone who shall remain nameless, to protect the innocent :-)
