Yep, apple. Man here was a comnpnay that went up against IBM, a company
that was around for decades in an established role. Now that was ballsy,
amazingly Klingon, and in the long run utterly a waster of time seein as
how they couldnt follow thru with a clear success. Instead all the anti
IBM hype opened the doors for windows to come scurrying in and snatching
up the crown. If oses were roman emperors MS is probably Caligula.
But man what a bash Ad Apple had against IBM. It was fucking zelaot making
stuff. My buds and I would plaster the IBM building in NYC with Apple
Gorilla tracts and wheate paste.
But look at the last presidential election. Things and times have changed.
Folks would rather have Big Mom And Big Dady watching over them than feel
the free fall thrill of a dev run support structure.
If Ms plays its cards right they can play on the whole Evil Unix hacker
scare, the UNSAFE NET scare, the WE DO IT ALL FOR YOU SOUP TO NUTS trend
(that apple wants to cash in on but keeps messing up the price point) and
the whole "your not dumb your computer just needs better software".
even as babyms's its gonna be a site to see.
