And thus my reason for living here. I had a freind up from LA this weekend
who bemoaned the clouds and lack of sun greatly, to wich i pointed out the
happiness she felt during the bright spots.

There is a mindset of conformity that loves the same thing all the time
(in LA Movie by steve martin the weather forcast is taped once a week for
replay wiht the line "70's and sunny, next forecast in 3 days")

Every day is a season in portland (cold, cloud, sun , rain , warmth ,
fall, repeat) and for the love of diversity in my environs I have found no
better place (sf, la, NYC, NJ, FLA, GA, Montreal, and the few other
polaces i have been) to call home.

I wont go on about the lack of real kinishes of deli cold cuts (they cut
them up here ONCE A DAY in the morning..who would buy hours old roast
beef???)

Its a place where a mind like Stephesons sould write his works:)-
