We come to the same conclusions, more or less, without agreeing on the
existance of good and evil. Religion was (and remains) a ubiquitous
form of social organization and population behavior control, and those
kinds of structures lead to behavior that generally concentrates
"non-optimal wins" in the hands of a few winners, while sacrificing
everyone else's hand --- i.e., what Tim's calling evil.
Religion considered harmful. I agree. ;-)
