Perhaps he should learn SS7 and try to be a meta Drudge,
or simply write many times in a notebook:
I decide what (virtual connection) lives or dies.

Even with C, what can he do viz. thinking about smartHeap,
MAKE, or Revision controls? Should he have Heapwalker
open from day one, or just a system objects browser, s.t.
even if there is not the sort of feedback on SS7 from the
carrier press (700 mi. of fiber demand to be met at 2104
Meadow Lane and 'Mechforce'-playing neighbors) there
is the pressure of system objects reacting to his actions,
autonomous action in subsystems....
