I'm buying the gifts that keep on giving: Microsoft software...

I still have $215 in credit at the Microsoft store, and my credit goes
away at 7pm tomorrow night. Darn this no-rolling-over-to-the-next-fiscal-
period... Anyway, starting July 1 I'll have another $350 to spend but
let's burn that bridge when we get to it.

What my June 30th deadline means is that I am entitled to buy up to $215
in gifts of Microsoft software (at Microsoft store prices!) by 7pm
Pacific time tomorrow for either the Mac or PC for anyone I consider a
friend.

So, if any of you want a software title from MS, I cannot guarantee its
availability (the Microsoft store was crazy today with people buying
everything!) but if it is available and I am able I will buy you a nice
gift. As a friend. (Windows 98 Upgrade for fifteen bucks?! Who can
resist... "I'll take 27!" :)

I of course can get you MS tee shirts and golf tees and jock straps and
condoms from the store, too, but my credit on those doesn't run out
tomorrow... so I can get them any time until the end of August.
(Actually, in all seriousness, ARE there MS jock straps and/or condoms,
and if not, why not? :)

Also, I don't know if the distribution list was working this weekend
when I epiphanied about the central theme of the 1990s, archived now
at

and

http://xent.ics.uci.edu/FoRK-archive/july98/0023.html

but that's not important right now, since there are MS Store bargains to
be had, and time is of the essence...

PS - If you're really nice to me, I'll buy you a Microsoft wall
calendar, too... lots of pictures of stuff from the Microsoft museum...

PSS - Since obviously I might be flooded with requests for software I'll
do the buying on a First-Come First-Served basis...
