Ernie, don't lie to the good folks. NeXTStep is dead because Adobe killed it.

You know, this is another little peeve of mine. I have a Newton 130. I
don't use it much because, well, I'm just not a PDA sort of guy. I
pretty much can get by with my Nokia 6190. Anyway, back to my peeve.
I'm looking at the Palm and it has 1/3 the features of the Newton 130.
It doesn't really seem any faster, and it's interface isn't near as
nice as the Newtons. Yet, people are tossing their Newtons out by the
basketful and buying Palms. I don't get it. And if you have a Newton
2000, well that little fucker is amazing. Nothing out there really
compares to it. Discounting the color screen not even the new HP PDA.

So, it just seems to me the companies know all they have to do is say
"were not going to support blah" and the public at large just chucks it
out the window. Regardless if it's working fine and would continue to
work fine for years to come.

Techno addiction. More expensive than crack, keeps you up longer than
coke, makes you fatter than pot, but hey... it's legal.
