In my post I used the phrase "white house staffer". Before I hit send I
used netscape's spell check function. Since it was late I didn't notice
that it had replaced "staffer" with "stiffer".
I can think of all kinds of meanings for "white house stiffer", and
given the current situation they all seem appropriate.
