Despite embarrassing allegations he had an affair with a former White
House intern, President Clinton's approval rating for his job has
soared to 79%, according to a poll released Sunday. An NBC/Wall
Street Journal poll taken Saturday gave Clinton a 79% approval rating
for the job he is doing as president. 15% said they disapproved of
Clinton's handling of his job and 6% said they were not sure. The
president's approval rating in a poll by the same group in Dec. was
59% - 20% less than the current rating. 65% of the 407 adults
questioned said Clinton should not be impeached even if allegations
he lied under oath about an affair with a 21-year-old White House
