I also remember the infamous PS/2 mouse/keyboard port. A number of PC
laptops would fry out when people would plug and unplug their mouse
and keyboard while the machine was running. Most PC laptops today
still don't allow for hot swapping of floppy drives and CDROMs (though
I think most will support warm swapping).
