Ah, good old George. Dyson Spheres. Martian Potatoes. AstroChicken.

How about Ed Regis's Great Mambo Chicken and the Transhuman Condition: Science
Slightly over the Edge? This book walks a fine line between cluelessness and
appropriate hard-headed skepticism. Like a Dave Barry on Webs Of Trust.

I think the Great Mambo Chicken referred to AstroChicken, but as I recall (been
a long time since I read it), Regis never explained the Chicken connection.

Anyway, the bottom line is: one person's science can look fishy to another
person, even without the scales. And it still tastes like chicken.

Cheers,
