We already see non-programmable, i.e. emergent, behaviors in the
net as a whole. My money says that we will find ways to make
these behaviors more useful in the relatively short term - 5-10
years.
The thing that ends up emerging... coalescing... whatever,
probably won't look like a human brain. But it will be a hell of
a thing whatever it looks like.
