Nike, long favorite company that activists like to criticize
for their association with Asian sweat shops, has decided to
launch a new line of Nike surfwear. The first to market
channel will be Irvine (ack!) and Newport Beach. Nike was in
the news in June from their site being hacked warning
of pending "Global Justice". [1] Interestingly, a search
again for the details of the new surfing line of Nike Wear
turned up Stephan Fitch's (MIT Media) new company "HardWear". [2] The
concept is mobile wearable billboards, where there's an
active ad on teh back of the jacket for the benefit of
everyone but the wearee.
