The dangers of relinquishment

I imagine most of you have seen Bill Joy's article [1] in
Wired, warning of technological dangers and recommending the
relinquishment of research.

I don't think this is the right answer. Actually, there are
many people who are convinced that a move to control and
relinquish technology development would seriously damage our
chances of survival.

However, Joy's article has been getting a great deal of
publicity, and continues to attract press attention.

So, please have a look at the other side of the issue, and pass
on this URL (especially to anyone who's read Joy's article):
