Sony Reveals Some E3 Booth Secrets

              Find out the what, who, when and where of SCEA's plans for E3
              2000.

              May 8, 2000

              Sony Computer Entertainment America today revealed some new
              information about its E3 plans for later this week. Firstly, Sony's booth,
              which is #2416 and located in the West Hall of the Los Angeles
              Convention Center, will showcase both games for PlayStation2 and
              PlayStation (umm, duh). It will also include:

               Celebrity appearances.
               Show attendees playing videogames on PlayStation and PlayStation2
              kiosks.
               Booth measuring 38,000 square feet -- larger than a football field!
               168 freestanding videogame kiosks, plus 32 built-in kiosks.
               Two levels, including a bar on the second level serving food and
              beverages.
               Six DVD monitors featuring "The Matrix" and other groundbreaking film
              titles played on PlayStation2.
               A two-minute pre-show on the Jumbotron that leads into the "Experience
              Zone," which features a breathtaking, eight-minute show.
               Special effects laser show by Lucas' Industrial Light Magic Group.
               Grind Session skateboard ramp that features a killer half pipe.
               Unreal Tournament four-player death match.
               Tekken Tag Tournament on Friday, May 12 at 1:00 p.m. -- with
              amazing prizes for winners
