Lots of people paid to see Titanic even though everyone knew the
boat was going to sink. In fact, some people went to see it dozens
of times, even though the same characters drowned every single time.
James Cameron made a hell of a lot of money off them.

And even if you don't know what's going to happen ahead of time, it
only means you haven't seen the script in advance; there's still a
script.
