UUCP-style addresses were still around in the early 90s. Remember? There was
a sentimental feeling for a few months there that yes the new domain-style
addressing were easier to use and more efficient (and a new generation was
about to happen who would know just that), but that it was the end of an
era, like the last days of the milkman or something. Remember the guy who
used UUCP-style addressing to send an email literally around the world? 1992
I think?
