Med adjustment can be a long and expensive process. Unipolars have it
relatively easy, bipolars less so, and schizophrenia is even worse. Beyond
adjusting med levels, you often have to switch to different meds or combine
meds to get an effect. And overmedicating for schizophrenia can lead to
Tardive Dyskinesia, a Parkonson's - like syndome, really nasty and largely

So yes, meds exist, and meds can be adjusted, but sometimes the treatment
(there is no cure) is a lot worse than the disease.
