But this is the first time that Microsoft's defenders are operating on a
plane occupied by the likes of Gandhi, Mother Teresa and Elie Wiesel. The
group's World Wide Web site (www.moral-defense.org) celebrates the
government-hating ideology of the late libertarian Ayn Rand and invites
browsers -- using Microsoft Explorer, one hopes -- to sign a petition
protesting the Justice Department's action against the company.
