My issue wasn't for a vanilla build, it's when you change the source tree,
as key dependencies are built into the build.exe executable.

Oh, I don't know. I've seen MUCH worse.
Building from the CDs usually is not hard.

1. Copy everything
2. Run build
3. Run build once more (broken dependencies)

It's just kind of... monolithic.
If I remember correctly.
